Texas Instruments Evaluation Modules: TPS62110EVM-101 / TPS61097-33EVM-498 / TPS54060EVM-457
The Texas Instruments TPS61097-33EVM-498, TPS62110EVM-101, and TPS54060EVM-457 allow designers to demonstrate the capabilities of TI power management devices. The TI TPS54060EVM-457 provides up to a 0.5A output from an input voltage source of 3.5V to 60V. This TI evaluation module demonstrates the small PCB areas that may be achieved when designing with the TPS6107 regulator. The TPS62110EVM-101 evaluation module operates with full rated performance with an input voltage range between 3.6V and 17V and uses the adjustable version of the TPS62110 1.5A synchronous step-down converter. The TI TPS61097-33EVM-498 evaluation module allows the user to apply different input voltages (0.9V to 5.5V) under various loading conditions (0 to 200mA) to the TPS6107-33 boost converter.
Texas Instruments Step Down Swift™ DC/DC Converter: TPS54xxx
The Texas Instruments TPS54xxx step down Swift™ DC/DC converter family provides input transient voltage protection that allows the device and the rest of your board to survive potentially damaging voltage spikes. These TI DC/DC converters retain low output voltage even with a 60V transient voltage pulse. The high-performance TI TPS54160 DC/DC converter family also provides light load efficiency, low quiescent current (ideal for applications based on TI MSP430 MCUs), a high switching frequency, and a small package size for space-limited designs. TI TPS5410 / 5420 / 5430 / 5450 DC/DC converters are a more basic version that provides ease of use, higher currents, and internal compensation.
Texas Instruments NexFET™ Power MOSFET
The Texas Instruments N-Channel NexFET™ Power MOSFET series features low on resistance coupled with extremely low gate charge,
making it ideal for high efficiency/high frequency switching converter
and Synchronous FET applications. The TI NexFET Power MOSFET combines vertical current flow with a lateral power MOSFET for a level of performance not previously possible with existing silicon platforms. The TI NexFET minimizes losses in power conversion applications and allows designers to achieve 90-percent power supply efficiencies from light to full loads with high output currents and low duty cycles.
Texas Instruments SWIFT™ DC/DC Converter: TPS54331
The Texas Instruments TPS54331 SWIFT™ DC/DC converter integrates an 80mΩ Rds(on) high side MOSFET and features a pulse-skipping Eco-mode™ for increased efficiency at light loads. The TI device's 1µA shutdown supply current allows the device to be used in battery-power applications. The TPS54331 offers a 3.5V to 28V input voltage range, adjustable output voltage down to 0.8V, and fixed 570 kHz switching frequency.
